Fueling the Future

Maier & Korduletsch

The Next Mobility Hub is the “fuel station” of the future: the facility offers its customers various forms of energy – from electric charging solutions for cars and trucks to conventional fuels and hydrogen for heavy-duty transport.

A solution was sought that optimizes energy consumption at the site while simultaneously avoiding costly grid expansion.

Customer Profile:

  • Maier & Korduletsch Group
  • Operator of fueling and charging infrastructure
  • Passau - Germany
  • High power demand due to 12 fast-charging points and a hydrogen compressor
  • Existing installations: electric fast-charging park (12 fast-charging points), hydrogen refueling station for heavy-duty transport, fuel island for conventional fuels

Requirements:

  • High power for fast-charging infrastructure
  • Grid-friendly operation
  • Cost-effectiveness
  • Future-proof, scalable solution
  • Outdoor-capable system

Projekt Details:

  • 2x FENECON Industrial L
  • Power: 2 × 736 kW
  • Capacity: 2 × Industrial L units, each with 1,288 kWh capacity
  • Installer: Bachner Group

Results:

  • Grid expansion avoided through intelligent peak load shaving
  • Reliable operation of 12 fast-charging points even under high utilization
  • Integration of e-mobility, hydrogen, and conventional fuels into a grid-supportive overall system

Conclusion:

By deploying two FENECON Industrial L energy storage systems, a highly modern and scalable mobility hub was realized. Intelligent energy management increases self-consumption, reduces grid strain, enables high charging capacities, and creates the foundation for additional revenue potential through electricity trading.
